What we do
These days, most grannies will wear a suit to the office. To make the most of this time. I’m saving you the mental load, shopping, meal planning, onion peeling & dish washing with these updated versions of old fashioned cooking.
Small batch means limited amounts, but it also means better quality & integrity. I cook batch by batch, which means the meals are frozen fresh, and kept in a commercial freezer, They will keep for about 2 months in your freezer. Look for the serving suggestions & heating instructions in the details of meals.

Pick from a selection of mains and sides of delicious home cooked meals. Some dishes have 4 generous serves. Soups, can be as flexible as you. One, two or three bowls.

Our Story
Both my Granny & Nannie were very good cooks. When cooking & dining at home was the only choice. Large families working in the manufacturing industries. Roasted meats, lots of potatoes, filling soups & fluffy dumplings. The kitchen ovens were daily work horses with so much variety, My Aunty Margaret still says her Mums rice pudding that cooked all day in the base of that oven was the B E S T !
I learnt my first lessons in those kitchens. Standing at the sink in a too big apron tied under my armpits, washing everything that came my way in steaming lemony bubbles.
A neighbour asked if I could help provide some meals by way of suggestion and also as her family had just welcomed another grandchild. With young parents working in the medical field, new parents, and the whole confusion of what Covid-19 squashed our mental health & survival instincts. This is my way of keeping my business alive with a whole lot of practicality, sensibility and comfort.

We prepare your meals
I’ve been cooking for over 25 years. That’s a lot of peeling onions, rolling pastry & stirring soup. Based in Lane Cove, our commercial kitchen is custom built, council approved and open for visitors with an appointment. An appointment is best, as we are in and out daily with catering & client meetings for Bern the Chef.
Choose to pick up or we can deliver.
Our kitchen in Lane Cove has undercover carparking in the Little Street Carpark. Free parking for 3 hours. Lift access to Lower Ground and follow your nose. The delivery areas we service include Willoughby, Artarmon, Linley Point, Hunters Hill, East Ryde, Northbridge, Cammeray, Neutral Bay, Cremorne, & Mosman.
