Where are the meals prepared?

Our commercial kitchen is council approved, custom-built for catering & private. Only staff are working onsite. While we are not open to the public, please feel free to visit us to see our kitchen. To make an appointment, please email info@bernthechef.com.au

Who are your suppliers?

We have worked with our suppliers for over 15 years. Sydney fresh vegetable fruit straight to us. Vic’s Meat & Origin Meats deliver fresh top-quality produce from sustainable farmers & producers. AOAP – Sydney’s premium cheese, oils, spices & olives. Brasserie Bakers for freshly baked bread- using grain specially grown for their artisan’s hand made bread & pastry.

Can I order for same day delivery or pick up?
If your cart shows your choice available, you are welcome to pick up. Pick up from our kitchen, Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4pm. Sometimes we are out delivering – we will know if you are coming to collect, so we check in via text to make sure we are here when you need us.
What areas do you deliver?

We deliver to the Lane Cove area, including Postcodes 2066, 2065. Also Artarmon, Chatswood, Cammeray, Northbridge, Cremorne, Neutral Bay, Mosman. We deliver to regular clients in these areas, ask us when we are next in your area. It’s usually once a week.

Is there a delivery fee?

All orders of $100 or more for the Lane Cove area within a 5 km radius are free! Orders over $60 are available for delivery, a fee of $20 for the Lane Cove area, for even further, let us know your area, $40 is the maximum delivery charge.

Dietary requirements

Please check the meals for the ingredients list. We work in a commercial kitchen, and while we take as much care precautions preparing specialty dishes, we cannot 100 percent guarantee these dishes are totally 100% free of known allergens.

Does someone need to be at home to accept delivery?

It’s preferable that someone is home or nearby as frozen & fresh food likes to stay cool. If your front door area has a cool out of the sun area, where an esky could sit, leave out a chill box or esky and we can pop your order straight in. We send a pre-delivery text beforehand so you know we are on route. If you have a time that suits you best. Let us know, we can do our best to get your delivery to you at a convenient time.

Can I cancel, refund or reschedule my order?
For any changes, email or phone as soon as possible for a change. If an order has already been processed, we may not be able to change this. But we can always reschedule. Send an email to info@bernthechef.com.au and we can work out a win win.
